CAMP FACILITIES: We have five air-conditioned classrooms, a full-size gymnasium, a dance studio, a rooftop playground and a side playground on the first floor with sprinklers for those warm summer days. We have instructional swim weekly at the Riverdale Y, a 10 minute ride away.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: There is an early childhood licensed lead teacher in each classroom with an experienced associate teacher as well as three additional counselors. Our campers work and play within the learning centers of our classrooms, and participate in art activities daily as well as weekly gymnastics and dance programs. 5 Year Olds
As our 5 year old campers transition from Stepping Stones to Main Camp, they will begin to utilize our traditional-sized facilities while participating in enhanced tennis instruction and other athletic activities, American Red Cross swim instruction/recreational swim, nature, music, creative & performing arts and many other exciting activities! Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

Our 5 year olds also participate in our unique, values-based, STARFISH program. The STARFISH program not only supports our camp's mission of teaching children the skills of making and keeping friends while building self-esteem; it creates a safe environment that makes accomplishing that mission possible. Our STARFISH program assists in teaching, promoting and recognizing the values of Sportsmanship, Tolerance, Appreciation, Respect, Friendship, Integrity, Sensitivity and Helpfulness.

6 & 7 Year Olds
Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include enhanced tennis instruction and competitive play, musical theatre production, other athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more!

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally, with the emphasis being put upon good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds / 11 & 12 Year Olds
We recognize that our older campers are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows these senior groups to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, these older groups have "flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. In addition, our older groups enjoy the privilege of venturing off the SRCC grounds on exciting day trips to local attractions and fun, off-site programs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: New Country Day Camp is an oasis for children growing up in New York City. All of our campers and staff ride the camp bus from stops in North Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan to the beautiful Henry Kaufman Campgrounds on Staten Island. Our older campers spend their mornings with their friends in camp groups of kids their age. In their groups, they'll have an opportunity to try all of our camp programs. In the afternoons, campers spend time in program units which they choose independently on Mondays, and which last the week through Friday.

CAMP FACILITIES: A space for New York performances and rehearsals. Built in 1907 and converted into a theatre in the late 1950's, the Players Theatre has been a jewel in the midst of beautiful Greenwich Village, serving as a magnet for performing artists and their audiences.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers stay in secure, clean, modern corridor-style residence halls dedicated to summer campers. Males and females are housed in separate buildings. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Jiva hosts its annual summer dance camp for children ages 5 & up. The camp offers an intensive learning environment where students can develop Indian dance, classical music, drumming yoga, and storytelling skills from guest teachers and artists.

US Performing Arts Camps is considered the premier top tier summer program for training young people in the arts. Our programs are taught by the university or college departments and their professional faculty and guest professionals in their fields.

As our 5 year old campers transition from Stepping Stones to Main Camp, they will begin to utilize our traditional-sized facilities while participating in enhanced athletic instruction, American Red Cross swim instruction/recreational swim, nature, music, creative & performing arts and many other exciting activities! Our 5 year old program also features a 'Mini Club' period which allows each group to select from a list of their favorite activities to participate in each day.

6 & 7 Year Olds
Our 6 & 7 year olds take full advantage of our famous 'Club Elective' program on a daily basis, allowing our campers to customize their schedules with their favorite activities! Club options include our famous 'Showtime' musical theatre production, athletic clinics, innovative studio art projects, and many more! Campers also enjoy our full-sized facilities including three heated pools, an arts & crafts pavilion, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball courts, baseball field, ga-ga courts, music studios, performing arts stage and much more!

8 Year Olds
In addition to participating in our great range of traditional activities, our 8 year old campers get the chance to experience the excitement and spirit of teamwork associated with our 'Sports Leagues'. Sports Leagues begin on an every other day basis, alternating with a SECOND 'Club Elective' period. League Teams are divided equally with emphasis being good sportsmanship and building self-esteem. Campers may also participate in one of our 'Showtime' musical theatre productions, cook, swim, dance, explore nature, and take advantage everything that our camp program has to offer!

9 & 10 Year Olds
At Hampton Country Day Camp, we recognize that our Seniors are looking for a more innovative and customizable summer experience so we give it to them! Our 'Club + Sports Leagues' program allows Seniors to tailor their summer experience for up to two hours each day. Additionally, Seniors have "Flex" periods in their schedule throughout the week which allow their group to once again choose between a list of available activities to participate in. In addition, all Seniors enjoy the privilege of venturing off the HCDC grounds on exciting day trips to local attractions and fun, off-site programs.

Time to make a movie! Campers write, direct, film, and edit a short collaborative film in a professional environment. Campers will be able to explore nature and build friendships, through interactive activities that center on God’s love and grace.

ADVENTURE CAMP (ages 12-15): July 26th – August 7th 2015 $1190 per two-week session (Early Bird $995 before March 1st) OR NEW July 26th - August 14th 2015 $1495 per three-week session (Early Bird $1295 before March 1st) A two-week or three-week camp program for middle school youth to enjoy a place apart from the busy world and to experience God’s love through nature, community, and challenge. Ramapo for Children offers college students a valuable and highly unique summer job experience through one of our programs: Camp Ramapo. Ramapo runs one of the few residential summer camps that specifically serves children with social, emotional, and learning challenges. At our camp, staff members believe that all children want to succeed, and embrace the challenges of working with special needs children. Many of our staff alumni describe their work at Ramapo as having been a formative experience, and have gone on to be teachers, psychologists, social workers, organization directors, and even founders of national service nonprofits.

That’s what our Mostly Art Summer Program is all about. Our art summer camp in NYC is small with a 5:1 ratio of teachers to students, so your child will get lots of personal attention.

A generous snack is provided. Children and teens will bring their lunch Monday through Thursday, which they’ll eat while hearing favorite fairy-tales and fables.

Mostly Art runs from June through August. There’s a one-week minimum, but ask about our special 10% discount for signing up for three or more weeks!

Does your child love art AND dance? From June through August you can have both! Art In Motion is our innovative partnership with American Youth Dance Theater, located directly across East 75th Street from The Art Center.

Art In Motion, ages 6.5 – 10, features half a day of art 9am – 12pm (drawing, painting and sculpture) 5 days a week and half a day of dance 12pm – 3pm (ballet, tap, jazz, and yoga) 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday) at American Youth Dance Theater.

Our NEW Junior Art In Motion, ages 5 – 6, features half a day of dance 9am – 12pm 4 days a week at American Youth Dance Theater, and half a day of art 12pm – 3pm 4 days a week (Monday – Thursday).

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Looking for a fun way to keep your child occupied when school is out for the day? Try All-Day Art! These special art classes in New York meet on school holidays from 9 am to 3 pm. During each All-Day Art session, children (grades K and up) and teens tackle one large art project of their choosing and several smaller ones. Past projects have included awesome paper mache warriors, Impressionist pastels, fashion designs, imaginary craypas drawings, watercolor drawings of flowers, and ceramic animals. We offer generous snacks to keep hunger pangs at bay, but kids will need to bring their own lunch and beverages (no nuts or peanut butter, please). Broadway Bound Players is a free performing arts program for underserved students seeking opportunities to perform and find a theatre community. Members of this exciting ensemble receive acting, voice, and dance training from professional teaching artists and take master classes with Broadway performers. They rehearse and perform a musical review that they help create. This program culminates with a performance on a professional stage.

The Broadway Bound Workshop is a fully subsidized 8-month program. Members will explore character development through musical theatre, improvisation, monologues, and scene study. The ensemble applies these skills throughout the rehearsal process for a show presented in the Spring. The members in this program develop confidence and competence as performers and as young adults! The ensemble is also given other performing opportunities with Broadway Bound Kids, master classes with Broadway performers, and individual coaching for college auditions.

Conflict Resolution—The tough “C”. The most difficult aspect of working with others is resolving problems that arise in a manner that is beneficial for all involved. It is possible to easily find temporary solutions, but this is only the first step to conflict resolution. For true peacebuilding, one must also know how to find solutions that are sustainable, meets the needs of the community, and take into account the often numerous factors that contributed to causing and perpetuating the conflict.

Collaboration—The cooperative “C”. No community exists in a bubble, and it is important that members feel invested in working together and finding sustainable solutions. Without collaboration, solutions are only temporary.

Creativity—The innovative “C”. Sometimes, we need to think outside the box and use our imaginations to solve conflicts that arise. We have to be open to the ideas of others to make everyone feel comfortable.

Cookies—The fun “C”. One of our strongest beliefs is that the more enjoyable it is to be a part of a community, the more people are going to want to be involved in sustaining it. People must feel like they are having fun in order to be invested in solving conflicts and building a peaceful, equitable society.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 61,000 sq.ft. fully air-conditioned recreation facility with a 24,000 sq. ft. main arena and a 12,000 sq.ft. auxiliary gymnasium. The Main Arena has seating for all campers, counselors and parents. We have an on-site indoor Olympic Pool, classrooms, computer lab, arts and crafts section, Drama & Cheer areas, sports courts, Atrium Game area, movie room and private dining room, and camp office.

We have optional clinics in soccer, basketball, digital and computer technology, cheer, drama and literacy and math enrichment. We are celebrating our thirty-fifth year with the same Owner/Director.

We accept personal checks, Master Card, Visa and Discover. Payment plans available. All programs are on-site. We have a low counselor to camper ratio

Our senior staff includes a retired superintendent of schools and principal, school psychologist and teachers. All senior staff are on-site all day every day. We have specialty coaches and specialists for our clinics.

OTHER CAMP INFO:

We have weekly nationally acclaimed professional entertainment, weekly theme-based activities and events. We have swimming four times a week. Swim activities are supervised by two American Red Cross swim instructors and seven lifeguards. All counselors are in the water with their campers. Our adult to camper ratio in the pool is 4:1.
We have a spirit week with special activities every day an on-site Charity Carnival and a "Color War" that takes place the last week of camp
