CAMP PROGRAM INFO: RYC provides free overnight camp to children with disabilities in order to raise their self-esteem, increase their social skills and provide opportunities for success in outdoor activities. Camp activities include camp activities like swimming, arts & crafts, hikes, bonfires, dance and therapy with horses and dogs and music. Each child has their own counselor for one on one attention. We have professional nursing staff 24/7 who also distribute medicine.

RYC was founded in 1974 by Rotary Clubs in District 6940. Clubs throughout the Florida panhandle provide almost 50% of the funds needed to manage the camp, $65,000 annually. In 2018 RYC was awarded the Florida State University Foundation and College of Education Exemplary Community Agency Award. Corporate and other donations provide our annual budget of $150,000. Campers are accepted without regard to ethnicity, gender, or disability.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our out of town campers are personally picked up at the Miami International Airport and brought to our camp. (about 20 minutes away) They stay in the college dorms with our awesome counselors - providing a total camp experience. Day campers enjoy a daily hot lunch in the UM cafeteria. CAMP FACILITIES: Students will have access to the main theatre where they will meet each morning as a student company.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. Participants may choose one of two tracks: Performance or Technical Theatre Design. Each morning, all student company members will meet for ensemble-building activities, breath work, and a writing workshop. After lunch, most days each track will break into groups to work on learning the theatre skills taught in their chosen track and on developing the performance and design elements of their production based on the company’s written pieces.

On performance day, students will leave camp as usual at 3:00 pm and will return at 6:00 pm to prepare for their 7:00 performance. On the final day of each camp, the company will engage in an evaluation of their work process, their production, and the We Speak experience, ending with an informal cast and crew party at the end of the camp day.

"We SPEAK. A Teen Theater Workshop" offers high school students a two-week, hands-on workshop where they train with industry professionals. The exploration and development of the students’ original stories will culminate in a production created, designed, and performed by the students themselves. Each student will choose their track in either performance or technical design. The first half of the day will be spent together learning how to craft stories on the page to come to life on the stage; and the other half of the day will be spent in their chosen discipline, putting the skills they learn into practice.

Being a creator of art is truly transformative. At Mad Cow Theatre, we want to share our passion for the arts to help teens understand how much their stories matter.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Each We Speak will have an evening performance on the second-to-last day of camp:

Admission to each performance is free. Each student may invite 4 guests to attend their performance.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Mad Cow Theatre will be following the protocols below to maintain safety for all participants:

-All staff and students must wear face coverings at all times.
-Classrooms and class materials will be disinfected at the end of each day.
-There will be a maximum of 12 students, 2 teaching artists, and 1 teaching assistant together at any given time.
-Student Check-in/Check-Out will take place at the curb on Church Street in front of the theatre.
-All students and staff members will have their temperature checked by staff at the beginning of each day.
-Students and staff will maintain social distancing during activities.

CAMP FACILITIES: Ninja Lounge is a state of the art sports and recreational facility located in the heart of North Miami. We feature several challenging and exciting attractions 10,000 square feet of trampoline space with 2 dodge ball courts, 3 basketball hoops, elevated rope courses, wall climbing, and a Tumble Trak for jumping and flipping. Ninja Lounge is also a certified Ninja Warrior training facility with obstacle courses for all ages.

CAMP FACILITIES: One in-person camp will be held at the Georgetown Public Library in July 2025, located in Sussex County, DE.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Beginner coding skills are taught helping children learn sequencing and terms that grown up coders use everyday to create video games and more. CAMP FACILITIES: Overnight students participating in the Summer Intensive program will stay at the UCF campus dorms and bus over to the studios in the morning, located in downtown Orlando.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional, ABT Curriculum certified staff. Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Camp Live Oak allows your child to explore the world around them here in South Florida, enjoying the many aspects of our beautiful environment! Each Camp Live Oak session and week is centered around a theme, with activities and programs built around that theme. Understanding the local natural environment and developing a respect and stewardship for that environment is vital to our program. The integration of science and art into each week allows for creativity and enthusiasm for learning and doing.

Campers enjoy swimming, canoeing, science, kayaking, arts and crafts, sports, surfing, fishing, paddle boarding and archery every week that they are at camp, with different activities rotating on various days. Exciting and educational field trips, guest speakers and specialty programs are scheduled regularly to give your child an extremely well rounded day camp experience!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Broadway®, presented by the FSCJ Artist Series, returns to Jacksonville for its 14th year from Monday, June 16 – Friday, June 20, 2014 from 8:30AM – 5:00PM at the Wilson Center for the Arts! Camp Broadway® introduces young people aged 10 to 17 to the world of Broadway on-stage and behind the scenes. Campers work with Broadway directors, choreographers and musical directors to receive training in acting, scene study, improvisation, music theory, solo and ensemble singing, movement, and dance.

This five-day performing arts program offers each camper the opportunity to expand his or her creative talents, build self-esteem, learn the art of collaboration, and gain a fuller respect and understanding of musical theatre. No singing, dancing, or acting experience necessary - just a willingness to have fun and a curiosity about what happens on stage and behind the curtain!

CAMP FACILITIES: Great facility with 2 large dance rooms with sprung floors for the safety and well fair of students. A changing room, reception area, and bathrooms.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The themed kiddie camps are dedicated to children ages 3 - 6 years of age. The program allows children to explore various types of dance forms such as ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, acrobatics and flamenco. Children are given daily dance related arts and crafts projects. The program also allows children to further develop their love of dance through stories. Children learn to express themselves through dance in a creative, energetic and nurturing environment. Programs are two weeks long per session. Imagination is brought into play as they learn to dance with their favorite movie characters! Family and friends are invited to come on the last day of the session to a small showing.

Dance Intensives are offered to students at the age of 8 years or older. It is designed for all levels of dance to further develop their technique while experiencing other forms of dance such as Modern Dance, Improvisation and Composition. Pirouettes, Stretch & Strength will be the main focuses. Campers will put on an end-of-intensive showing for family and friends.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, HipHop, Acrobatics, Flamenco, Lyrical, and Modern Dance are offered for a variety of levels. Youngest start at a 3 years of age. We offer adult classes as well. American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum certified and affiliate teachers. Classes are held Monday-Saturday.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): The Cardinal Parent’s Association (CPA)
Designed to allow the parents of campers a chance to
be a part of the activities at Camp Cardinal. A C.P.A members is essentially a parent counselor, assisting with various field trips and activities on a day to day basis.

Requirements
1. Every family is Eligible Parents must sign up within the program’s
set deadlines (C.P.A DOES NOT discriminate against race, creed, and /or religion) This program is strictly based upon a first come – first serve basis. (There are only three C.P.A positions available per session)

2. Must be a biological parent and/or rightful guardian of child.

3. Willing to work with children other than your own.

4. Must be physically active and able to participate in all activities.

5. Last but not least, Willing to have fun!

Rules and Regulations
1. A C.P.A member will act as a head counselor to his/her assigned group.

2. A C.P.A member cannot be a head counselor over his/her child’s group.

3. A C.P.A member must Chaperon various field trips and activities
such as (Late nights).

Agreement

to a certain number of hours per session.

When the rehearsal are over, Overnight Campers will be able to take a break from their instrument while they explore Disney Parks, and participate in other fun activities with their fellow campers. While at camp, students will be supervised by our staff of Resident Camp Counselors. Meals are also taken care of (lunch for Day Campers and breakfast, lunch and dinner for our Overnight Campers).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Great youth ministry starts with effective adult volunteers investing in the lives of students. That’s why we take time at BigStuf to invest in your adult leaders as they invest in your students. Our Leader Lab sessions are specifically designed to encourage and equip your adult staff and volunteers with practical youth ministry knowledge and resources to strengthen their impact on your students.

We want to take our leaders a bit further as we contemplate what it means to be a real leader. To do this, we set aside one hour each morning during the week for Leader Lab sessions. Each year we ask some incredibly gifted leaders and speakers to come in and give fresh thoughts and different perspectives to your leaders. We are convinced your leaders will leave camp not only encouraged by time with their students, but also refreshed and motivated by their time in Leader Lab.

For more than 25 years we've provided children with inspiring, exciting, and educational camp experiences and we look forward to having your child join us this year.

Resident Campers get to actually live and work at Busch Gardens® Tampa or SeaWorld®Orlando! You will spend a week working side-by-side with veterinarians, trainers and other animal care experts. You will help to feed, interact with and care for the animals that make your favorite park amazing. Enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, swimming and more. From fifth grade all the way through college, you can enjoy an immersive and unique experience that has brought us animal-loving guests from across the U.S. and around the world.

Visit our state-of-the-art zoo hospital and travel behind the scenes to encounter exotic and endangered species such as lemurs and black rhinos on habitat.

At day's end, there's still time to enjoy the amazing rides, shows and attractions of Busch Gardens® and Adventure Island®.

CAMP FACILITIES: Rock n' Roll Summer Camp consists of 3 rehearsal rooms for lessons, praticing technique, and band practice. We also have a 3,000 sq. ft. room with a fully equipped live sound stage.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Rock n' Roll Summer Camp helps musicians or non-musicians who are starting out make that dream become a reality. We put together like-minded people at the same levels of experience, provide great music for them to play, and match them with a seasoned professional musician and teacher who helps them practice their set for a live performance.

It all culminates with a PERFORMANCE, where your child takes center stage to live out their musical dreams in front of family and friends. Performances will be held weekly during all Summer Camp sessions on Fridays! The performances will take place on a HUGE stage with a phenomenal intelligent lighting system, fog machines and huge sound system for your kids to JAM out on and to perform the songs they have learned.

Rock n' Roll Summer Camp students learn music by making music. They start playing on the first day of the session and improve daily as individual musicians and as a band. Each musician has an opportunity to expand his or her musical potential while having fun playing with other musicians.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our campus features swimming pools, Marleen Forkas Splash Pad, tennis courts, athletic fields, archery range, trapeze, gymnasiums, playgrounds, science lab, ceramics studio, auditorium, theater stage and a three-level indoor play center.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp at the J is all about kids having the freedom to learn and grow in an informal and nurturing setting while developing skills that prepare them for future success. Our camp culture is built on universally accepted moral ideals as well as strong Jewish values. We incorporate respect, honor, good sportsmanship and teamwork into all that we do.

All staff members are thoroughly screened and trained to provide a safe, fun and memorable summer. A registered nurse is on the premises to provide care and medical attention if needed.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT Program: Entering 10th Grade

Under direct supervision, teens will develop leadership skills through a hands-on experience engaging with campers, training from local professionals, and social programming to aid in networking with other Madatzim. The goals of this program are to prepare for teens for future work experiences, provide teens with training and skills to become effective leaders and role models, improve self-confidence, assist children in camp groups, and excel at handling responsibility resulting in a fun and productive summer. All this and a great resume builder too!

Theater CIT Program: Age 16
Talented teens explore their creative side and also go behind the scenes to learn lighting and stage techniques, set design, direction, stage management and lighting plots.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: What to do when school is out? Come play at our J! Join us for Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Breaks, as well as Pre and Post Summer Camps and No-School Days. Our Camp [AT] the J program features fun filled on campus activities including swimming, sports, dance, crafts and more. Plus, off campus trips put the fun in field trips. School may be out, but FUN is in all day at the Levis JCC! Pre and post care available.

Campers enjoy learning about every aspect of live theatrical productions - the creation, production and performance of musical theater - in a program tailor-made for elementary and middle school students. Running 60-70 minutes, our shows are abridged but long enough to tell a complete story through script, song and dance. Each 4-week session builds to a rewarding
final production both parents and camper-actors will be proud of!

Manhigim: Grades 7-9
Tailor-made for adventurous, independent teens craving fun and friendship-filled summers. Campers hit the road every week to experience favorites like waterskiing, Rapids and state-of-the-art entertainment parks,
plus new and exciting ones we introduce every summer, in Florida and beyond. Campers also enjoy overnight and day trips to exciting attractions and on campus activities including sports, art, swim, trapeze, archery and more.

CAMP FACILITIES: The program will follow all CDC guidelines as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. The session will have a maximum of only fifteen (15) participants in more than 3K sf and adhere to all safety precautions.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Carefully crafted sessions to give aspiring young singers the tools they need to succeed, LOL also intent to emerge students into the creative process between members of the production team. LOL offers a well-diversified program in a professional environment. Each instructor participants’ interact with throughout the day is an industry professional, offering an authentic and relevant experience in the business of opera as well as valuable connections that will support students on their opera journey.

Students are taught what high-quality work is and how to evaluate their work and others, it helps students in their cognitive, social, and emotional development, a perfect opportunity to engage and prepare them for and into the 21st Century competitive world.
